KIM DASTRUP
Kim teaches a style of yoga true to the tradition and spirit of an ancient and sacred practice. Her classes are suffused with intelligence, creativity, and compassion derived from her years of teaching and extensive training with teachers, including D'ana Baptiste, Ana Forrest, Judith Lasater, Erin Geesaman-Rabke, and Peter Francyk. She hold the 1000-hour Professional Yoga Therapist certification from InBody Academy. Kim honors the unique beauty and potential of each student; she is sensitive to each person's needs and abilities and emphasizes the principles of the postures. She integrates the various styles of yoga - from energizing to restorative - into her classes. Kim began practicing yoga in 1999, and began teaching in 2003. In addition to the classes she regularly teaches at Centered City Yoga, Kim also leads mindfulness-based yoga training, teaches corporate classes, offers master classes and private sessions, trains other yoga teachers, and hosts yoga retreats locally and internationally. When she is not teaching yoga, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Emma and Zoë. Kim has a masters degree in Organizational Behavior.
